We have slowly gotten outside to do things around the yard. We've been working in the garden building up the mounds and planting some things, planting in the greenhouse, mowing, watering just plain cleaning up. Jordan and I worked in the little flower garden we have that is in front of the garage. We spent about an hour an a half weeding and laying down a top coat of fresh dirt, then we headed inside to get ready for our last night of AWANA. Shortly there after, Jacob was outside and saw me in the window and mouthed me the words "do you see what the chickens did?" OH I could only imagine...I so want flowers with pretty beds. But until we get these chickens locked up(and throw away the key)there will be no flowers for this momma...I finally had the nerve to look at it this morning. GRRRR!!!
Anyone have any ideas to keep my chickens out of my flower bed(besides the chicken coop fence? Or do I just give up the dream of having pretty flowers.

Well there's always fried chicken.....
Them buggers!
Oh! Doesn't that just make you crazy?! Last season we worked all day to fill raised beds and lay down a mulch, ready to plant. I went out that evening and the chickens had it all scratched out. The once-filled boxes had huge holes dug out of them and the mulch was everywhere.
Ace hardwarevmakes these cute low fences you could try. I will take a photo tomorrow for ya.
sorry to laugh...I gave up flower beds and a lot of other things to owhen I got chickens and goats. :(
