For Today, Monday, January 26th, 2009
Outside My Window... the sun is coming up. It is around 6 degrees now, with a high of 30.
I'm thinking... I have a lot to get done today.
From the learning rooms... back to our regular schedule after a strange School time last week.
I am thankful for... blue sky after weeks of clouds and fog.
From the kitchen...
Monday ~ pulled pork sammies
Tuesday ~ steak
Wednesday ~ dinner at church
Thursday ~ soup
Friday ~ pizza
Saturday ~ meatloaf
Sunday ~ football fare!
I am wearing...sweats and a sweatshirt
I am reading... Psalms 17, Proverbs 26, reading Luke with the kids
I am hoping... Jacob doesn't have an UTI
I am creating... daily lists
I am hearing...complete silence, but not for long
Around the house & barn... vacuum house, shovel out goat shed
One of my favorite things... early mornings to myself
I am going... Costco, Pool, Co-Op, maybe Dr. Appt
A few plans for the rest of the week... Wednesday is AWANA
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Thank you simple woman for hosting

Science
Jacob got the book Backyard Ballistics for Christmas. The first project he and his Dad made was a potato gun.
With a little spray of hair spray(2sec) and a lantern igniter, you have a potato that ends up in the pasture. Or if you're my husband you spray more like 5-6 sec and the potato ends up in the road...no more of that!!
My neighbors I'm sure are enjoying this lovely show of boyhood, but I can't help wondering if they are thinking "Why are they always pointing that thing at us?" If my dear husband isn't careful the potato might end up in their living room:)
