Shoot

The family that shoots together stays together:)Sunday after church we headed to the hills near by to go shooting.
No, this isn't one of ours.

Jacob's Football #23

Now that football is officially over I actually have time to post:) We had a great season, his second year. He had to change teams right before they started to play their games because his original team didn't have enough players. His dad and I thought going on a new team he wouldn't have much playing time, and that was true in the beginning. But I think his 100% attitude helped. By the last few games he was playing the entire game;) Way to Go Jacob! All in all he had a great time and learned a lot. Although with any "boys" team there was a lot learned that I could of done without;)

Happy Birthday Teenager!

I can't believe I have a teenager, a cool one at that! What a good kid this one is. Lover of animals, Legos, and life in general. He loves to harass his sisters and gets away with it since he is the only boy in the group! He sure does love them tho.

Science

So far we are this year we have covered some anatomy using Apologia Science. LOVE LOVE LOVE their books. So do the kids and that is what matters right??!! Our first lesson was on cells, so Saturday we make edible cells...what could be more fun than that? Yellow jello, candies and waaallla....what could be more easy than that? There is actually more to it than that but you get my drift. If you are doing the edible cells you might want to use a bowl that isn't too big(this is the right size)

or it might look like this:

But it is supposed to look like this:

We all had fun making it and the kids had fun eating it!

An Award

Terri over at Our Crazy Farm gave me this Award! Thanks Terri! You are an inspiration to this farm girl wanna be. I love how you work with your kids and your zeal for life. If only I lived closer I could learn even more;)
Here are a few of my favorite blogs:
Michelle over at Room to Bloom is a good friend of mine who only lives minutes from my house. I love her craftiness and love for her family. We used to get together at least once a week to do crafts and let the children play, but lately life has gotten in the way!! We need to remedy that!! We have animals and homeschooling in common also.
Dalyn over at Muckboots and Aprons is another friend of mine that lives here locally. She is the one of my first friends when I moved here. We used to live in the same town and go to the same church before we moved here, but we never knew each other then. Dalyn was the one who got me wanting goats in the first place, and actually gave me my first goat. She loves the Lord with all her might and isn't afraid to show it. Go check her out!
Jane is antoher favorite. I have been reading her blog for a few years now and it never gets old! I love her homeschooling ways and ideas.
Do you want good recipes? Go over and check out Sandra over at Keeping it Simple and if not she has a whole lot more on there also.
Love photography?cute kids? homeschooling Go check out Rebecca's blog for a great read.

Thanks Ladies! Wish I could put you all in there but there isn't enough computer memory for that!!! There are a lot of WONDERFUL blogs out there...too many...way too many...
