Our Anniversary

A couple of weeks ago on the 4th, Hubby and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We dropped the kiddos off at a friends for the night and went up to the mountains and stayed in a cabin at a resort. It was about 15 feet from the rivers edge. No T.V. No phone No radio. It did have a hot tub on the deck next to the river.

After we checked in we drove up into the mountains to a nearby lake to check out camping possibilities for the summer. It was so peaceful.

On the way back we saw several cow elk, that was cool! My Hubby sees them all the time during work but this was a first for me.

The food was to die for, Hubby had elk steaks and I had flank steak marinated in Jack Daniels. It was the best flank steak I have ever had, sorry MOM:) There was so much food they had to roll us back to the cabin! The trip was short but very memorable! Can't wait to go back next year! Happy anniversary honey!

Coming up...pictures of my newly remodeled kitchen!

I'm so guilty!

I am so guilty of doing this, she says it best...I need to spend more fun time with them and not be such a Mom, housecleaner, teacher, disciplinarian, task master!!! Read it here:

Girls Fun

My 2 oldest girls are quietly doing crafts that they found in an old fashion online magazine for girls. go here to check it out
There is also another great online magazine for Moms/kids, check out Kelli's blog and see for yourself.
I love this type of fun, especially when their sister is upstairs on the couch sick and needs some quiet time.

Update

I can't believe it has been this long since I posted last. Well since last time things have certainly been busy.

Soccer ended here are the highlights
Jacob scored 1 goal this season, he improved the most since last year, his foot work was great!

Jordan scored 3 goals this year! She loves the game!

Jocelyn had a good time for her first year! The boys dominated on her team. She was close to scoring, although we had to bribe her $5 to even try:)

It was a fun season but a very cold one!!! It snowed on three different games. Compared to last year where we had umbrellas to keep the sun off of us!

I planted my garden with the seeds I started in the house. Although I don't think my corn or pumpkin or cantalope will grow because it just hasn't gotten warm enough. I will post pic on a later post.

Awana has ended and Jacob is done unless we take him to another church, which might happen.

The fence is slowly going up.

ugh I will have to show pictures later as blogger won't let me load them!!!
